Why You Can't Judge a Lock by Its Looks
While most folks may know counterfeit money when they see it, the same isn't always true about counterfeit locks. In fact, it can be tough for even the experts to tell a fake at first glance, because many of them look just like their high-quality counterparts—at least from the outside. It's only when a locksmith comes to do repair work, and has to disassemble the hardware, that the truth comes out. And that's when you find out if your locksmith can handle surprises.
Of course, at Bill's MobileLock, we've been handling all kinds of security surprises for more than 25 years now. That incudes dealing with the growing wave of knock-off parts from overseas manufacturers, although, to be sure, our way of "dealing" with them is to never use fakes in the first place. Counterfeit locks may be less expensive than those from the name brands, but they're also less secure, too, and more difficult to fix. In many cases, for example, traditional locksmith tools aren't usable on the counterfeits, which aren’t designed to standard industry specifications.
On the other hand, if we do encounter substandard hardware, we'll work to provide practical solutions that resolve not only those issues, but any of your security needs.
